- Hamilton regions offer an especially high participation rate
- Canadians annually spend in excess of $7 billion on travel and tourism to U.S.
- destinations, with a good percentage of that money going to golf resorts.
- The average number of rounds Canadians played went from 13.2 in 2001 to 15.5 in 2005,
- according to a recent survey released by the Royal Canadian Golf Association.
- Half the wealth of Canada is situated in an area which encompasses Toronto, Hamilton,
- Niagara and London.
- Ontario residents spend well over $3 billion each year on travel and tourism.
- The Canadian dollar is enjoying great strength - a 25 year high - against the American
- Greenback and that is encouraging more travel to the U.S..
- Visitation to the U.S. from Canada rose a staggering 1 million to 14.8 million in 2005. The
- airline sector alone produced over 5 million overnight stays from Canada.
- The average stay for a Canadian golfer - a higher yield traveler - to the U.S. is 8 nights.
- Canadian incomes rose 2.8% in 2005 and the country's continuing strong economic
- indicators bodes well for travel to the U.S.
